Volunteers are essential but without the funds to purchase building materials and maintain our construction hubs we can do nothing.\u00a0<\/p><p>Because SAWs constructs and installs ADA compliant ramps to low-income, permanently disabled persons for FREE, we depend on the generosity of individuals, churches, corporations and nonprofit organizations to support our efforts.<\/p><p>Individual contributions along with grants will make it possible to fund 50 RAMPS in 2022.\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Your gift of <strong>$350<\/strong> buys a complete 8-foot ramp section!<\/li><li>Your gift of<strong> $474<\/strong> provides the decking for an average length of decking for a ramp.<\/li><li>Your gift of <strong>$120<\/strong> provides a crucial ramp transition plate.<\/li><li>Your gift of <strong>$85<\/strong> furnishes all the screws for an average ramp.<\/li><li>Your gift of <strong>$1,500<\/strong> furnishes all materials for an average size ramp system.<\/li><\/ul><p>All individual contributions from Arizona taxpayers are eligible for the\u00a0<strong>Arizona Charitable Tax Credit<\/strong>. Single taxpayers can contribute up to $400 and couples filing jointly can contribute $800.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fed0c69 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fed0c69\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What is an Arizona Charitable Tax Credit?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9293974 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9293974\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>If you&#8217;re an Arizona taxpayer, you can make a donation to SAWs and\u00a0<strong>receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit<\/strong>\u00a0in return! But what does that mean?<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: var(--fontSize); font-style: var(--fontStyle, inherit); font-weight: var(--fontWeight); letter-spacing: var(--letterSpacing); text-align: inherit; text-transform: var(--textTransform); color: var( --e-global-color-text ); background-color: var(--palettecolor7);\">IT MEANS a<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var(--fontFamily); font-size: var(--fontSize); font-style: var(--fontStyle, inherit); font-weight: var(--fontWeight); letter-spacing: var(--letterSpacing); text-align: inherit; text-transform: var(--textTransform); color: var( --e-global-color-text ); background-color: var(--palettecolor7);\">t the end of the year, if you typically owe tax, you\u2019ll <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">owe less tax.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><p>This is because a tax credit is different than a normal charitable deduction\u2014rather than reduce your taxable income,\u00a0<strong>it directly reduces your state tax liability<\/strong>\u00a0(which is the tax you pay). For example, if your tax liability is $1,000, and you make a $750 donation to SAWs, your liability will be reduced by $750\u2014meaning that your tax liability will only be $250!\u00a0<strong>It is to your advantage to participate in this program.<\/strong><\/p><p>In addition, you can make a donation all the way up until\u00a0<strong>April 15<\/strong>\u00a0(your donation must be made prior to filing your taxes\u2014if you are filing an extension your donation needs to be made by April 15), and\u00a0<strong>still claim the credit for the previous tax year!<\/strong><\/p><p><b>The best part?<\/b> SAWs uses your tax credit donation to provide freedom to low-income, permanently disabled individuals through the construction of wheelchair ramps to the exterior of the homes.<\/p><p>What are you waiting for?
